The Ocotillo Chamber of Commerce is looking for members to exhibit in the 1st Annual Business Expo and Job Fair.  If you are interested in this exposure to the community please contact the chamber at 602.910.3035. 

The Mentor Committee will be meeting next Thursday, August 12th at 8:45 A.M.  if you have an interest to be a greeter, events you would like to see or ideas, please make plans to be at this meeting.

Member and Visitors will be given opportunity to introduce themselves and give a short informative talk about their business.  We ask members and visitors to bring lots of business cards and feel free to pass them to other members and guests.

One of the most enjoyed feature of our meetings is the "Spot Light Presentation".  The "Spot Light Presentation" features a chosen business to give an 8 to 10 minute in dept presentation about themselves and their business.   The Spot Light Presenter is given the opportunity to pass out information, demonstrate, and give out promotional material while we ask others to only bring business cards.   We seem to always learn something we didn't know, become more aware, and be able to give better leads and referrals after hearing the "Spot Light Presentations".

We're adding more members with out using a membership director. Since Jan., 1st 2010 the Ocotillo Chamber of Commerce has been with out a membership director and the chamber just had its largest month of new members.

This is a great sign for the chamber to see it's membership base just under 80 members. By the end of the 2nd quarter the chamber should be close to that 100 members mark.

The goal of the chamber has been to develop slow and strong. So many members have gained new great business relations since July 2008 when the chamber started.

Now it's time to bring in more new members to build up even more professional relationships in and around the community.

The members that have been making the chamber's meetings that have been held every week since August 2008 at the Ocotillo Golf Resort have gain the most out of their membership.

This Networking & Breakfast weekly meeting is open to both members and guest. You do not have to order breakfast just enjoy the networking and meet with some of the greatest business leaders in and around the area.

Some weeks the group is under 10 professionals and some are as high as 30 or more. But every week a member is in the Spot Light for about 10-min. The member will offer some great insight about their business. Members have enjoyed this opportunity for showcasing their businesses every week for almost 2 years.

Our new membership fees apply "Only" to new members that have joined the Ocotillo Chamber of Commerce as of Jan., 1st 2010. (1-10 Employees $395 and up to $1,495 for Chamber Partnership)

*If you joined in 2009 your fee will stay the same when your membership comes up for renewal in 2010. (1-5 employees $245 and 6-20 employees $345)

The mission of the Mentors Club is to effectively promote membership to the Chamber to new and prospective members, while encouraging current members to maximize their membership. Mentor members are volunteer liaisons between members and the Chamber staff, and will achieve this mission through attending Chamber events, Mentors Club meetings, and having awareness about Chamber events and programs to share with other members.

This club traditionally meets every 1st Thursday of the month after our weekly Networking & Breakfast from 9-10 am. The meetings include Chamber updates and news, as well as the benefit of professional development classes, speakers and networking opportunities.
