I picked up a San Tan News this week and as I flipped through the magazine a familiar name to the Ocotillo Chamber caught my eye. Scott Tomkinson, owner and publisher of the Coffee News and member of the Ocotillo Chamber was named one of the top 10 finalist in the Nashville Songwriters Assocation International Contest sponsored by Country Music Television. Scott Tomkinson and Lance Carpenter wrote a song called "I Would Be Too" and it was chosen as a finalist of the Listener's Choice Award out of 2000 entries from across the country. The winner of this contest will received prizes and tickets to the CMT Music Awards in Nashville. You can vote for your favorite song through February 26th by visiting www.NSAI.CMT.com. Good Luck Scott and Lance! Jodi Stephens
